BALLISTIC MANAGER (English version)
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and innovative Junior Ballistics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will explore new and innovative ballistic materials, enhance our current soft and hard ballistic armour solutions, and develop one-of-a-kind systems tailored to customer needs. You will work closely with customers, primarily military and law enforcement, to gather feedback, conduct field tests, and refine our products based on real-world usage. You will also collaborate with the design team to ensure that ballistic protection and ergonomic requirements are balanced in our carrier vest designs. This is a dynamic role that requires both technical and commercial skills, as you will be responsible for presenting new solutions to customers and supporting various internal departments. A hands-on approach, cross-functional coordination, and customer interaction are key aspects of this role.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Research and evaluate innovative ballistic materials to enhance existing ballistic solutions.
- Develop and propose tailored soft/hard ballistic armour solutions to meet the specific requirements of public tenders.
- Collaborate with military, law enforcement, and other end-users to collect feedback on products, perform on-site testing, and gather data for continuous product improvement.
- Support the design team in optimizing carrier vests, ensuring improved ergonomics and ballistic protection.
- Interact with customers to understand their needs and present new ballistic solutions.
- Participate in field tests and demonstrations, collecting relevant data for R&D and product development.
- Work closely with internal teams (R&D, sales, procurement, marketing) to ensure the proper execution of product development and market introduction.
- Assist in preparing for industry exhibitions, including presenting products to customers and showcasing innovations.
- Stay updated on public tender requirements and ensure that all ballistic armour solutions align with them.
- Serve as a bridge between technical development and commercial teams, playing a key role in customer engagement and solution presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master degree in TextileEngineering, Materials Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong interest in ballistic protection technology and materials.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, including military and law enforcement professionals.
- Ability to collect and analyse data from field tests, providing valuable input for product development.
- Strong team player who can collaborate across multiple departments
- Technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose and test innovative solutions.
- Flexibility to travel for field tests, customer meetings, and exhibitions.
- Detailed understanding of public tenders and their technical requirements is a plus.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to present technical solutions effectively to nontechnical audiences.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with ballistics testing and material science.
- Familiarity with military and law enforcement gear, specifically ballistic vests and plates.
- Knowledge of ergonomic design principles for wearable equipment.
- Knowledge of public tender reading, understanding and converting the required data to real product.
